Dr. Dieter Pudlo

Curriculum vitae

Dieter Pudlo studierte von 1976 - 1984 an der Technischen Universität Berlin "Geologie". Im Rahmen seiner Diplomarbeit führte er "Sedimentologische Untersuchungen in der Bahariya-Formation (Oberkreide) in der Westlichen Wüste von Ägypten" durch. Seine Diplom-Kartierung war die "Geologisch-petrologische Kartierung des Gebietes zwischen Wildkogel und Mühlbachtal (Neukirchen am Großvenediger, Land Salzburg, Österreich". Von 1985 - 1991 war er für die Firma BEB (Exxon-Shell), Hannover als Angestellter, später Consultant im Bereich der Sedimentpetrographie tätig. 1987 kehrte er an die TU Berlin zurück und bearbeitete dort bis 1996 innerhalb des SFB 69 - "Geowissenschaftliche Probleme in ariden Gebieten - Entwicklung und Potential kratonaler Großstrukturen", Teilprojekt "Intrakratonale geodynamische Prozesse im Zentral- und Nordsudan" vor allem pan-afrikanische und tertiäre magmatische Gesteine in Ägypten und dem Sudan und deren Bedeutung für die strukturelle Entwicklung in NO-Afrika. Von 1991 - 1996 war er zudem wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im geochemischen Zentrallabor der TU Berlin. 1993 legte er seine Promotion mit dem Thema "Komplexe Differentiationsprozesse in Magmenkammersystemen - Petrogenese der pan-afrikanischen Ganggesteine im Granitoidpluton von Bir Safsaf/SW-Ägypten" ab. Von 1996 - 2005 arbeitete er als Consultant im Bereich Sedimentpetrographie, Geochemie und Umweltgeologie für universitäre und privatwirtschaftliche Auftraggeber. Ab dem Jahre 2003 ist er für das IGW der FSU Jena tätig und ist seit 2006 in verschiedenen Forschungsprojekten zur CO2-Sequestrierung am IGW beschäftigt.
